ICYMI: On the Air
USAF veteran Cecil Grant and Marine veteran Richard Mendelow invited me on their shows to talk about the state of education and its impact on military children.
Over the past year, I had the honor of being a guest on Changing the Narrative with Cecil Grant and Courageous Christianity with Richard Mendelow to talk about education as it relates to military kids. I was, at first, very reticent to do any interviews. But after I learned that both hosts were military veterans who are using their platforms to help make the country a better place, I found that I really wanted to go on their shows—to support them and to receive their support in reaching families.
If you haven’t had a chance to check out the following episode (and others) from Changing the Narrative with Cecil Grant, please do:
The radio show, Courageous Christianity with Richard Mendelow, aired my interview on January 6, 2024, but here is a link to the podcast episode:
Additionally, in my talk with the Mendelows on Courageous Christianity, I mentioned Fairfax County, VA, and the education landscape my family moved into when we made a military move from California to northern Virginia. Another guest on an earlier episode of Courageous Christianity, Family Research Council’s Meg Kilgannon, gave the background on the ascendancy of gender ideology in Fairfax County public schools. From her experience at the U.S. Department of Education and Family Research Council, Kilgannon shared on the topic of “Christianity and Education Policy in the U.S.” She gave some excellent advice for parents wishing to increase participation in their children’s education and the political process surrounding it.
